Who is Chris Tidwell?
Vocalist, Secondary guitar
How Long Have You Been Playing?
At least seven years now, I can't really remember when I started playing guitar. But I have
been singing most of my life, in the car, in the shower...
What Instruments Do You Play?
I can play guitar, drums, bass,
and saxaphone.
What Was Your First Album?
I don't know what my first album was,
but I do remember the albums that influenced me. Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine, STP, Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Garth
Brooks, Poor Old Lu...
What Was Your First Concert?
Brooks and Dunn( I had a girlfriend that was into country)
Who Is Your Favorite Band?
How can you choose, I'm all over the place. Too
hard to choose just one.
Who Is Your Favorite Local Band?
Anyone who can get us shows.
Seriously, I have a buddy in a hard rock band called Nephilym. They are really good and fun to see live.
What Band Do You Dislike The Most?
No Band in particular. I hate Pop music. Commercialized processed crap aimed at the masses who
want desperately to fit in. It is music made with the purpose of making as much money as possible. Thats not how it should
be. Music is something you love, career opportunity. It should be real, with meaning and emotions and passion. I could go
on and on, but I won't.
What Should A Crowd Expect From A Shard Show?
Rock and Roll.
Good music, energy and passion. We love to do what we do and you will see that. The songs we write have so much meaning to
us and we want to affect people with what we say and how we play.
What Do You Do To Get Ready For A Show?
Pray, Practice, and Promote.
Do You Have Any Weird or Fascinating Fan Stories You Can Share?
What happens on the road stays on the road. Okay, actually we just don't have any yet, but I
will keep you posted.
What Is Your Take On The Local Music Scene?
Too many bands, too few venues. There is not a lot of help out there for new bands.
Is There Anything You Would Like To See Change?
Bands working together to make the local scene better for everyone. Established bands, help
the little bands get shows. New bands, seek the advice of those who know. Venue owners, give us a chance instead of giving
shows to cover bands.
What Is The Best Venue You Played?
MVP's in Raleigh.
What Is The Worst Venue You Played?
Just some outdoor festival here in Moore County. I won't name it, but it was bad.
Is There Anything Else You Would Like To Say, or Any Advice You Would Like To Give?
Go out and support local music.
