CD Review

4 on the Floor
Cowboys and Engines

If you are into the "old" country sound, then you need to get this CD. This group definitely has the potential to make it. While listening to this CD, it evoked memories of the "good ol days", back when country music was played on the transistor radio. Back when country was country. After listening to the first song, I tried to figure out who they reminded me of. It was Junior Brown. I guess it was the singers sound, but hey, I like Junior. Eventhough I am not the biggest country fan, I will definitely listen to the CD from time to time. You make the call, and get one for yourself. Check them out at http://www.4onthefloorband.com/.

Shu Demo & Live Venue Recording

The Junkie gives Shu 2 thumbs up on both cd's. A great Alt. Rock sound. They don't really remind me of one particular band out there. They have their own sound. Really like the original songs on the Demo cd. The Live CD wasn't bad, for a live performance. It is hard to get a great LIVE CD. The only thing, not really bad, was 1 song. The Metallica cover didn't do it for me. The music was fine. I thought the singer tried to sound too much like the original, but didn't get the job done. My suggestion is to make it your own. With that said, I will have to see Shu the first chance I get. Well worth the cover of admission.

RUMORS Demo

The RUMORS demo CD is a great mix of music that you can hear at one of their shows. Rock and country covers, as well as original material.
