reviewby: Nancy Sheets Entertainment Coordinator for the Upper Room

band: 1:1

where: The Upper Room Statesville, NC

when: June 25, 2004

details: The Upper Room Rocked

"One to One", it doesnt get any better than this in our personal walk with Christ or with the dynamic sound produced by this awesome band. Their 70s-80s sound comes straight from the heart in their lyrics and in their testimony, which was effectively interspersed through out their show. Their style is reminiscent of a time when lyrics and background music were equal components in producing a wall of sound. Sound, which fills the heart with a message and the body with an irresistible desire to move. This band appealed to all ages from 15 to 50 with a story to tell to each.

"One to One", havent heard of them you say? You will, These folks are going places ! Come along and enjoy the ride.Totally awesome! Totally Blessed!

Rumors
Patriots Sports Bar & Grill
Chester, S.C.

Local Music Junkie was at the Rumors show at Patriots on Saturday night. I would first like to thank the owners and staff for their hospitality. They are a great bunch of folks. If you ever get to Chester, look them up.

Rumors put on a great show, even though they had to cut it short. The blue-light law in S.C. sucks.

The band started the show off with a few country and old rock tunes for special patrons of Patriots. Rumors continued,  through out the night, honoring requests. For one of the requested songs, can't remember the name of it, they brought in a special singer. Darrell's stepson, Tyler (15 yrs old?) did an excellent job. You will be seeing him in the near future. They also included Tina (from Patriots) in one of their songs. They played a variety of rock and country covers, as well as some of their original material.  The crowd enjoyed every minute of it, and so did I. They didn't have the biggest crowd on Saturday, but what they lacked in numbers, they made up in enthusiasm. The next time Rumors is in your town, go check them out. It is well worth the price of admission.

reviewby: Tory Kinnard from TeamRock.com

band: Euphorium

where: Ireson's pub, Bristol Tn.

details: These guys are absolutely amazing. They play with precision and confidence. They assault the senses. They are simply one of the tightest most techically proficient bands I have ever heard. The sound is reminicent of early Metallica with an infusion of the melodious stylings of Iron Maiden. The drummer kicked some incredable beats in odd time signatures while the aggressive bass player kept pace. The dual guitar attack strafed every ear in the house, while the lead player had me entranced with is intricate, yet delicate, fret work. I was literally sitting there with my mouth hanging open just watching his fingers move across the strings. I knew I was in the presence of greatness. These guys definately rock.
